Vondelpark was designed as a nineteenth century decor of the natural world. This means that all new additions should be modest and have respect for the what came before. All proposed additions will form new layers, retaining anonymity to strengthen the park in obtaining this unity. Outside the park we reckon the city volumes as square bodies and the Vondelpark we consider to be round. In our design for new furniture we return to the most basic of round – the circle. We used the circle to design a set of furniture in one same family, characterized by its own materialization. The circle is the complete form which tangentially suits the elegant curved lines of the English garden design of the Vondelpark. Our furniture is designed specifically for the Vondelpark and cannot be seen without the specific elements and the underlying concept of the park itself.
