One very basic, yet practical necessity for the occupants of the School of Architecture was a comfortable place where people would be able to socialize, take a break, or even take a nap. This project aims to achieve this through the use of temporary lounging devices that are filled with helium, which function as both art and furniture. Through the analysis of the site, the program was divided into 3 distinct sections: 1) Private Area (the smaller of the 3 spaces, more enclosed, lending itself to more individual use), 2) Viewing Area (the area which overlooks the main courtyard and surrounding vicinities of the SOA), 3) Public Area (the more open and largest area of the 3 spaces, lending itself for more group or sleeping recreation). A canopy of netting will wrap the roof and each piece will be attached to one of the nettings by a weighted rope.
